Purchasing Officer Job Description

As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a key role in managing the procurement of inventory and non-inventory items to meet internal and external customer demands.

You will be responsible for understanding and adhering to Australian government regulations, issuing purchase orders, analyzing supplier performance, and providing clear communication to internal customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services from vendors
  • Analyze and monitor supplier performance and provide reports as required
  • Provide backup support for Logistics Coordinator
  • Communicate Purchase Order status to internal customers
  • Manage raw materials and recycled materials for the site
  • Coordinate stock replenishment and non-inventory items and services
  • Maintain import delivery schedules and registers
