Rydalmere East Public School seeks an experienced Teacher to fill the role of Home School Liaison Officer.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting schools and parents in maintaining regular student attendance, working closely with Delivery Support staff across the state to manage the Home School Liaison Program.

About the Role

This is a temporary appointment for three years, offering the opportunity to work as part of a team to implement attendance initiatives. The appointee will be required to attend a training program in Sydney and possess the ability and willingness to travel between worksites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching qualifications and recent experience in schools.
  • Demonstrated experience in student welfare, including implementation of attendance policy and procedures.
  • Liaise with schools, students, parents, and agencies.
  • Manage computer applications, including databases and spreadsheets.
  • Contribute to a team to implement attendance initiatives.
Requirements
  • An unconditional full approval to teach is mandatory.
  • Absence from work due to illness or personal reasons may impact the term of this appointment.
What We Offer

The appointee will receive a salary equivalent to that of teachers, plus an HSLO allowance. Additionally, all Department of Education employees working in an SSP are required to be vaccinated.

The estimated remuneration package for this role is up to $134,570 per annum, based on the location and industry standards in Sydney.
