
Director of Cyber Security Programmes

This leadership role involves overseeing the development and implementation of an organization's cyber security strategy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of specialist staff and developing partnerships with external stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
They will also be responsible for ensuring that the organization's systems and data are protected from cyber threats through the implementation of robust security controls and processes.
Additionally, they will be required to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of cyber security and ensure that the organization remains ahead of potential threats.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement an organization-wide cyber security strategy that aligns with business objectives.
- Manage a team of specialist staff responsible for the delivery of cyber security operations, threat detection, incident response and compliance uplift.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including managed service providers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of cyber security and ensure that the organization remains ahead of potential threats.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience leading cyber and information security functions in complex or regulated environments.
- A strong background in security operations, governance, risk management and incident response.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide specialist teams and manage partnerships with external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, Essential Eight and VPDSF to strengthen resilience and meet compliance obligations.
