Theatre Support Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced theatre environment, supporting our experienced surgeons and nursing staff with various surgical procedures.

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised individual who can effectively manage the maintenance and operation of theatre equipment, ensuring seamless transitions between procedures.

As a Theatre Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in facilitating efficient perioperative processes, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and providing excellent patient care.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of surgical specialties, including Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Cardiac, ENT, Ophthalmology, Colorectal, and Obstetrics.

About Your Role
  • Assist Surgeons and Nursing Staff with surgical procedures through provision, operation and maintenance of theatre equipment.
  • Maintain theatre cleanliness and assist with post-operative tasks, including disposal of waste and re-stocking equipment.
  • Facilitate efficient Perioperative processes and ensure smooth operation of Perioperative Services.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Qualified Theatre Technician – completed a recognised Theatre Technician course.
  • Recent peri-operative experience in a clinical setting.
  • National Criminal History Check and a valid working with children check.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong communication skills.
