Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Space Protection Systems Professional to join our team in Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Space Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services focused on mission system protection. This involves understanding current and emerging threats, developing mitigation tactics, facilitating training, and providing on-site support.
This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as ops planning and protection SME, coordinating with various teams and stakeholders.
- Lead site integration into Joint Planning Process (JP 5-0) forums and working groups.
- Organize site participation in exercises and wargames.
- Create debriefs to improve space operations and protection.
- Collaborate with partners to enable protection decisions.
- Understand current and emerging threats with external SMEs.
- Develop and deliver Mission Protection training.
- Manage schedules for meetings during non-standard hours.
- Identify risks and opportunities, providing analysis and recommendations.
- Review documents related to new capabilities and integration.
- US Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph and DOD SAP eligibility
- Bachelor's degree with 9+ years relevant experience
- Experience with JP 5-0, tactical and operational planning
- Knowledge of satellite constellations, orbits, ground stations
- Understanding of satellite operations, RF fundamentals, ground systems, and vulnerabilities
- Proactive, able to manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively
- Ability to work independently and in teams, supporting meetings outside standard hours
Reports, briefings, spreadsheets, and other documents as required, with quick turnaround and high quality.
