Our expertise spans high-tech commercial ventures, communication, earth observation, remote sensing systems, data products, and infrastructures supporting earth orbiting and beyond.Role/Responsibilities/QualificationsStellar Solutions seeks a Systems Engineer in Australia to deliver Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services focused on mission system protection.
The role involves understanding current and emerging threats, developing mitigation tactics, facilitating training, and providing on-site support.
Relocation assistance, housing stipend, cost of living, and allowances are included.The successful candidate will:Serve as ops planning and protection SME, coordinating with the GPOC, command and control, mission protection teams, and other operations teamsLead site integration into Joint Planning Process (JP 5-0) forums and working groupsOrganize site participation in exercises and wargamesCreate debriefs to improve space operations and protectionCollaborate with partners to enable protection decisionsUnderstand current and emerging threats with external SMEsDevelop and deliver Mission Protection trainingManage schedules for meetings during non-standard hoursIdentify risks and opportunities, providing analysis and recommendationsReview documents related to new capabilities and integrationHandle FK&C issues related to mission protection systems in AustraliaQualificationsRequired:US CitizenshipActive TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph and DOD SAP eligibilityBachelor's degree with 9+ years relevant experienceExperience with JP 5-0, tactical and operational planningKnowledge of satellite constellations, orbits, ground stationsUnderstanding of satellite operations, RF fundamentals, ground systems, and vulnerabilitiesProactive, able to manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectivelyAbility to work independently and in teams, supporting meetings outside standard hoursDesired:Advanced degree in STEM with relevant experienceUSAF Weapons School or Space Test School graduateExperience as spacecraft or ground systems operatorExperience with threat assessment and orbital mechanicsFamiliarity with Systems Engineering principles and tools like Jira and ConfluenceDeliverablesReports, briefings, spreadsheets, and other documents as required, with quick turnaround and high quality.
