Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled support worker to join our team. As a support worker, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support services and direct care to individuals with disabilities.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and effectively manage time, and have a genuine desire to provide high-quality support for people with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support services and direct care for people with disability
  • Support participants in community participation programs
  • Accurately document incident reports, progress notes, and shift handovers
  • Assist with domestic activities and personal care
  • Perform manual handling including hoist transfers – manual, electric/assisted standing
  • Assist with medication administration
  • Prepare meals and assist with meal preparation
  • Work with individuals with complex behaviors of concern
  • Maintain records of client progress

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Support participants to achieve social and self-care goals
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Level II First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current WWCC/Blue Card or willingness to obtain
  • Current Australian Driver's License
