Job Title: Aged Care Nurse
Job Summary:
Prospero Health & Social Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Aged Care Nurse to join our team. As an Aged Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health and care needs to develop personalized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Monitor residents' health and provide medical attention as needed, responding promptly to changes in their condition.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, hygiene, and mobility, promoting independence and dignity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the broader care team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification with current registration and endorsement from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Proven experience in aged care nursing is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of geriatric care principles and practices.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of elderly individuals, promoting a culture of respect and compassion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
- Understanding and adherence to relevant health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
