About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Quality Assurance Specialist to join UGL's Major Projects division in Western Australia. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance plans and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans and protocols for projects.
  • Define quality standards and criteria in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes and suggest enhancements.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, products, and processes to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Analyse test data and reports to identify any issues or deviations from quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and audits.
  • Prepare reports on quality performance and present findings to management.
  • Ensure that the project complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated with changes in quality standards and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on quality standards and procedures.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Engineer with Quality Assurance experience.
  • Strong understanding of Building Codes, utilities requirements, and building services to be implemented in residential buildings.
  • Proven experience (from concept to completion) as a design engineer with a full understanding of local construction methodologies throughout all areas of residential development.
  • Experience working on large accommodation villages made up of modular buildings or similar types of projects.
  • Australian driver's license.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks, and simultaneously set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
