Project Quality Assurance Specialist

This is an Expression of Interest for a Project Engineer – Quality Assurance.
At UGL, we are expecting significant growth in Western Australia as we support large Building Services Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for locals and those open to FIFO and DIDO roles. As a result, we have an Expression of Interest for Project Engineer – Quality Assurance role.
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans and protocols for projects.
- Define quality standards and criteria in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Identify areas for improvement in processes and suggest enhancements.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, products, and processes to ensure compliance with standards.
- Analyse test data and reports to identify any issues or deviations from quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and audits.
- Prepare reports on quality performance and present findings to management.
- Ensure that the project comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated with changes in quality standards and implement necessary adjustments.
- Provide training and support to project teams on quality standards and procedures.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Engineer with Quality Assurance experience.
- Have a strong understanding of Building Codes, utilities requirements and building services to be implemented in residential buildings.
- Proven Experience (from concept to completion), as design engineer with full understanding of local construction methodologies throughout all areas of residential development.
- Experience working on large accommodation villages made up of modular buildings or similar types of projects.
- Australian driver's license.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
