About the Role

The ideal candidate will assist with general painting, wallpapering and repairs to attractive finishes within a hotel environment as requested by the Maintenance Manager.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Perform tasks including painting, plastering, minor carpentry, plumbing and equipment repairs. Assist with wall and surface preparation and basic bathroom maintenance.
  • Provide training to other engineering staff in correct methods of surface preparation and paint application in areas related to trade expertise.
  • Follow all Occupational Health & Safety guidelines, hotel policies and emergency procedures. Report hazards or unsafe practices.
  • Assist and train colleagues. Share information and maintain a positive working atmosphere. Communicate feedback and updates with managers.
  • Attend briefings and training. Wear proper uniform and meet grooming standards. Ensure work areas are clean and organized.
  • Maintain confidentiality. Adhere to equal opportunity and behaviour policies. Prioritize urgent tasks to ensure guest comfort.
