About Intellectual Property Law

\

We are seeking a solicitor to join our leading Trademarks team.

\

As a member of the Trademarks team, you will work closely with the broader IP practice undertaking a range of work that supports national and international clients including:

\
  • Australian and international trademark filing and prosecution\
  • Trademark portfolio management\
  • Rebranding and clearance advice\
  • Drafting and negotiating consents and co-existence agreements\
  • Advising on intellectual property aspects of due diligence\
  • Providing support on trademark and domain name disputes\

Requirements

\

To be successful in this role, you will be an admitted lawyer in Australia or New Zealand, and have:

\
  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience across trademark prosecutions from a leading national or international private practice, or an in-house environment\
  • An excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset\
  • A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team\
  • An ability to work to tight timeframes collaboratively and at times autonomously\
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team\
  • Have a hunger to learn and develop, and be part of maintaining a market-leading practice\
