Role Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to visit an elderly gentleman once a week or fortnight for an hour of companionship, fostering meaningful connections and bringing joy to their life.

About the Role:

Building Relationships: We are looking for someone to share stories, laughter, and perhaps a stroll around the local area with our lovely elderly gentleman, enhancing his quality of life and reducing feelings of isolation.

Key Benefits: Regular visits from volunteers can have a profound impact on improving quality of life and reducing loneliness among seniors.

Our Mission: We are passionate about enriching the lives of people in need through our care services, including dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation services, and more.

Requirements: Volunteers must be 18 years or older and undergo a National Volunteer Police Check, arranged and paid for by us.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Visit our elderly gentleman once a week or fortnight for an hour
  • Engage in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation
  • Support the improvement of their quality of life and reduce feelings of loneliness

Time Commitment: Visits can be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability, and we'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday.
