Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency incidents and provide fire and rescue services to the community.
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities.
- Develop and maintain competencies through regular training and drills.
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of station facilities.
- Australian Permanent Resident Status.
- Manual C Class driver's licence.
- Ability to commit to attending 50% of emergency calls as a day worker or 30% as a shift worker.
- Ability to attend 75% of regular drill and training sessions.
- First aid and emergency care skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
As an Auxiliary Firefighter with the Queensland Fire Department, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in your community. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, and will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
