About the Role

The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Auxiliary Firefighter. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for responding to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness, and contributing to the upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, working collaboratively with other emergency service providers to ensure effective response and recovery activities.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities, working closely with local communities to identify and address emergency risks.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses, ensuring safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training, demonstrating a commitment to the role and the organization.

Requirements

  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
  • Ability to commit to the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
