About the Role

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join its High Dependency Unit. This is a permanent part-time role, working 32 hours per week.

The successful candidate will provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the safe and efficient management of care within the scope of practice and professional guidelines. This includes, but may not be limited to: legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration and clinical competencies.

Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with no restrictions
  • Proficient ECG and Cardiac arrhythmia interpretation skills
  • Demonstrated competency in intravenous (IV) cannulation
  • Able to care for patients with Non-Invasive Ventilation/Airvo required, with Invasive Ventilation skills competency preferable
  • Digital and computer proficiency, extending to Microsoft 365 applications
  • Minimum of one-year post graduate experience
  • Australian Citizenship, permanent residency, a current work Visa with no restrictions or an applicable ANMAC occupational code if seeking Visa sponsorship
