Key Role: Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead our Flight Catering team at Perth Airport. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining and delivering exceptional airline food quality standards across all classes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee departmental planning and execution activities to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Coordinate labor, resources, materials, and equipment to meet operational targets.
  • Manage catering operations, including meal presentations, charter catering, menu changes, and audits.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous efficiency and productivity improvement.
  • Mentor and develop the Kitchen team.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including HACCP and WHS requirements.
  • Minimize waste and optimize cost controls.
  • Collaborate with the wider business to align production operations with overall strategy.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified with experience as a Sous Chef or higher.
  • Proven track record in large or bulk catering facilities.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, Food Safety, WHS, and QA principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time and interpersonal management skills.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Airline Catering experience is highly desirable.
