Job Opportunity

The Community Partnerships Lead position is a key role in establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with community organisations, government departments, and internal stakeholders to deliver impactful health and wellbeing initiatives.

This role requires a strong understanding of community development principles, current trends in volunteering, and experience using relevant management systems and tools to drive strategic plans and ensure alignment with community needs and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strengthening Community Partnerships:
    • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with community organisations, government departments, and internal stakeholders to foster collaborative relationships and facilitate consistent communication.
    • Lead and coordinate Council's volunteer management portfolio, ensuring the recruitment, retention, and satisfaction of volunteers across all Council-led programs.
  • Effective Volunteer Management:
    • Develop and implement strategies for volunteer engagement and management, leveraging current trends and best practices to maximize program impact.
  • Contributing to Strategic Plans:
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans, ensuring alignment with community needs and evidence-based practices to drive meaningful change and improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in community development or a related field, such as social work or public health.
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement, partnership development, and volunteer management, with a proven track record of driving successful outcomes and delivering high-quality results.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • A willingness to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check and provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
