System Architect For Autonomous Vehicles
Design and drive system architecture, control strategies, and functional requirements for ADAS motion control functions.
Craft coordinated longitudinal and lateral control, high precision vehicle odometry and state estimation, system diagnostics, and fallback strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Define system level functional and non-functional requirements for ADAS motion control features including ego pose estimation and control.
- Architect software and electrical interfaces between the ADAS application processor and vehicle motion modules, sensors, and actuators.
- Lead end-to-end development of ADAS motion control software components across the V cycle from system architecture and requirements to implementation, integration, and vehicle level verification.
- Collaborate with the ADAS trajectory generation team to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end functional performance.
- Integrate and test ADAS motion control functions across unit, software in the loop, hardware in the loop, and vehicle levels, ensuring accurate torque path coordination and actuator control.
- Conduct in-vehicle testing to develop and validate initial parameter sets.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing safety-critical real-time embedded systems in C or C++ for production applications.
- 10+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering, robotics, or control systems development with a focus on vehicle motion control, autonomy, or advanced driver assistance.
- Demonstrated experience defining system level requirements and architectures for safety-critical vehicle functions.
- Deep understanding of vehicle motion control including dead reckoning, sensor fusion, state estimation, graph-based optimizers, and motion control strategies such as model predictive and quadratic regulators.
- Cross-functional experience with software, electrical engineering, validation, and calibration to ensure coherent system behavior and interface alignment.
- Familiarity with system modeling, signal definition, and traceability tools such as SysML, DOORS, or Polarion.
- Design and deliver high integrity, safety critical software for high autonomy vehicles.
- Directly influence how we design, validate, and deliver software.
- Work with a cross-functional team to ensure coherent system behavior and interface alignment.
- Develop and validate initial parameter sets through in-vehicle testing.
