GIS Specialist Role

In this position, you will collaborate with divisional staff to develop high-quality GIS work and deliver technical products for Policy, Planning and Investment (PPI) projects. You will also provide efficient support to the Corridor Protection Services (CPS) Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support PPI staff in GIS, Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), and other technical tasks.
  • Create visualizations and maps for clients using digital data in GIS and CADD formats.
  • Analyze and interpret GIS data to assist staff and clients on GIS matters, and prepare quality reports and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of technical costs and job progress.
  • Build professional networks to find innovative solutions to work-related issues.
  • Take ownership of individual or team projects, establishing action plans and executing them within set timeframes.
  • Support the CPS team in meeting its business objectives.
  • Engage in contemporary human resource management practices, including employment equity and workplace health and safety.
Reporting Structure

This role reports to the Manager (Corridor Protection Services).
