Senior Geographic Information Systems Specialist

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Gis Coordinator- To plan, design, develop, implement and maintain geographic information systems (GIS) to deliver high-quality results that meet or exceed expectations.
- To oversee the creation and maintenance of GIS databases, ensuring data is accurate, up-to-date and accessible for effective decision making and strategic planning purposes.
- To collaborate with other teams to enhance the University's GIS and BIM platforms by applying best practices and emerging technologies.
- To ensure statutory standards are met and maintained and produce high-quality mapping products to support capital projects and space planning initiatives.
- Relevant qualifications and experience in building design systems and facility management systems.
- Demonstrated computer literacy with skills in a range of computer programs, particularly AutoCAD Map 3D and ArcGIS/QGIS.
- Effective organisational, problem-solving and administrative skills to prioritise and meet competing deadlines.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to foster highly effective working relationships.
