Manufacturing Radiopharmaceutical Specialist Job Description

As a manufacturing radiopharmaceutical specialist, you will be responsible for the production and quality control of radiopharmaceutical products and devices. This role offers the opportunity to apply engineering principles to manufacturing processes and take on QC/production responsibilities within a controlled laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform the manufacture and analysis of radiopharmaceutical APIs and devices
  • Conduct in-process and final product quality checks
  • Support the transition and setup of equipment including validation and verification activities
  • Collaborate with engineers to enhance manufacturing processes and troubleshoot technical challenges
  • Analyse results and deliver accurate reports
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in nuclear medicine, synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or nuclear/medical physics (or equivalent)
  • Experience in process engineering, automation, or equipment validation is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is essential in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing
  • A Queensland Radiation Use Licence would be an advantage
