Project Systems Officer Job Description

This is a key position that will work with the Contracts and Projects Coordinator, assisting management to deliver on strategic and operational business improvements. The focus will be on delivering efficiencies and improved work processes.

  • Undertake project administration tasks within Council's software systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of capital works and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Actively liaise and consult with relevant staff members to ensure effective communication is maintained.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of risk management plans to mitigate/minimise risks to stakeholders.
  • Develop procedures and performance reports which enable efficiencies in planning and delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and auditing tasks within Council's software systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare accurate concept and detailed construction program estimates.

Requirements for Success:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in reviewing, checking and auditing data with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience in developing and testing relevant reports.
  • Experience in project and budget management.
