Job Title: Experienced Disability Support Worker

At Rize Support, we strive to create an inclusive environment that promotes independence and encourages innovation in the delivery of our service. We are dedicated to enriching the lives of NDIS participants through exceptional short-term accommodation programs that take place on a regular basis and cater for all abilities.

Role Overview:

As a compassionate and person-centred Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with high support needs and behavioural challenges. You will assist with daily living skills, community access, and personal care, while fostering meaningful connections with our participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver High-Quality Care: Provide individualised support to meet the unique needs of each participant
  • Assist with Daily Living Skills: Help participants with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Community Access: Assist participants with accessing community resources and activities
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care assistance to participants as required

Requirements:

  • Motivated Team Player: Be motivated to create meaningful connections with our participants and work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experience Working with Individuals with High Support Needs: Have experience supporting individuals with high support needs and behavioural challenges
  • Availability: Be available to work every Thursday for group support and at least 2 weekends per month (Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon) for a Short-Term Accommodation program

Must-Haves:

  • NDIS Screening Check: Hold a current NDIS Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check: Hold a current Working With Children Check
  • Current Driver's Licence: Hold a current driver's licence
  • First Aid & CPR Certification: Hold current First Aid & CPR certification

Additional Training/Certifications:

Having additional training/certifications such as Cert 3 or 4 and Auslan experience is highly desirable

Job Type: Casual

Hours: Flexible hours including majority weekend work
