About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Constitutional Lawyer to join our team at the State Government Of Victoria, Australia. As a Constitutional Lawyer, you will play a critical role in providing legal services to the government on constitutional and other public law matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide written and oral advice on public law, including constitutional law
  • Conduct administrative and public law litigation matters
  • Develop and maintain expertise in constitutional and public law
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide high-quality legal services to government clients
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in constitutional and public law
Requirements
  • Proven ability to provide written and oral advice on public law (preferably including constitutional law)
  • Experience conducting administrative and public law litigation matters
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to both work in a team and autonomously (under supervision)
  • Enthusiasm for working in a government law office and on novel legal issues
