About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Chemistry Specialist to join our team at our Glendenning site. This is a hands-on role where you will identify, sample and label a mixture of chemical waste streams, while also providing technical expertise.

This opportunity offers the chance to apply your chemistry expertise in a highly regulated, safety-first industry, where your contribution has a direct impact on environmental sustainability.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance for the acceptance, treatment, and storage of liquid and technical waste.
  • Deliver technical and analytical support to the sales team and external customers.
  • Assist operations with waste management and production activities.
  • Run treatability trials, select treatment methods, and validate their suitability to ensure wastes are treated safely and profitably.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities and ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.
What We Need From You
  • Degree in Chemistry, and experience working with waste or hazardous chemicals within an industrial environment.
  • Exposure to wastewater treatment or chemical field sampling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessments and preparation of work instructions.
  • Accurate record-keeping skills within tightly regulated environments.
  • Solid understanding of chemical handling legislation, including storage and disposal requirements.
