Job Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Professional Companion to provide high-quality care and companionship to clients based on their individual needs and desires.

The successful candidate will work directly with clients, their families and friends, and report to the Care Designer to ensure continuity of care. They will support clients in promoting happier ageing and providing safe client care in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create positive experiences and client-focused care in home and community settings
  • Deliver premium care approach to clients and their family members
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal care, light housekeeping, errands, companionship, transportation, etc.
  • Meet safety standards, using equipment safely and accurately
  • Respond to scheduling inquiries and updates within agreed timelines
  • Review care plans prior to visits, completing records accurately and completing all tasks as requested
  • Engage in open communication with the Care Designer when opportunities to elevate client experience and care are identified
  • Update availability and leave requests to ensure continuity of care for clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic infection control principles

Requirements:

  • Certification in Aged/Disability/Community Care
  • Two professional references
  • National Police Check (Aged care specific)
  • Working with Childrens Check
  • Ability to travel independently and reliably to clients' visits
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Completion of eLearning
  • Exclusion Team Check
