Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our passionate team in a dynamic laboratory setting.
- Routine receipting and processing of specimens, including operation and maintenance of advanced analytical equipment
- Pre- and post-analytical specimen handling and management
- Identification and prioritization of urgent specimens for timely analysis
- Filing and storage of specimens and accurate data entry
- Assisting scientists and laboratory personnel as required
- Continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest processing requirements for diverse sample types
- Responding to results, sample requirements, and general queries from clients and colleagues
- Identifying and resolving problems at the pre-analytic stage through effective troubleshooting and communication
To be considered, you should have:
- Extensive experience in specimen processing and data entry
- Excellent customer service and communication skills for effective collaboration
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
- Understanding of the importance of adhering to strict quality control procedures
- Willingness to adhere to established policies and protocols
- Previous laboratory experience and exposure to medical terminology (desirable but not essential)
- Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or Pathology Collection (desirable)
