Senior Investment Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Senior Investment Analyst to support major strategic, commercial, and investment projects. The role focuses on developing reusable, user-friendly financial models and analytical tools to enhance investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review project cost estimates with planners using our costing methodology.
  • Build and maintain structured Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models in Excel for cost, revenue, land tax, and income tax projections.
  • Provide insights on key financial drivers, risks, and conduct sensitivity analysis.
  • Advise project managers and coordinate feedback with the evaluation Assurance Team.
  • Develop costing and pricing models for unregulated products and services.
  • Contribute to improving costing, evaluation, and business case development tools.
  • Provide financial and commercial analysis for strategic investment decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Economics, or Finance.
  • Experience in advisory/consulting, investment banking, or large asset-intensive organisations.
  • Background in financial assessments and business valuation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Independent and proactive in managing tasks with a focus on delivering insights.
