About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Delivery and Metering Coordinator Manager to join our team at Shell Energy. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in delivering our business plan and ensuring the successful onboarding of customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Powermetric as the AEMO registered Metering Coordinator and manage all regulatory requirements, audits, and NER changes.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes, procedures, and systems to enable customer onboarding, including front-end contract and meter order processing, metering accuracy governance, and metering coordinator market interactions and activities consistent with Chapter 7 of the National Electricity Rules.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Monitor and manage customer accounts and services to achieve and maintain excellent customer rapport.
  • Monitor sales opportunities and drive the conversion of these leads to contracts.
  • Ensure the operational and IT functions are established and run according to Shell's standards.
  • Send and manage B2B and CATS transactions in accordance with the applicable NER requirements and timeframes.
  • Develop and maintain Metering Coordinator compliance and exemptions matters in accordance with the NER.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with an AEMO-approved NER-compliant Asset Management Strategy Assessment, including selection, testing, and analyzing test results to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with the meter asset management strategy and the National Electricity Rules.
  • Report and assist in analyzing system exceptions, performance constraints, and issues with metering management system and develop solutions with Shell Energy software development team.
  • Provide integral support in the development of retail and third-party meter provider contracts.
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes to manage retail and third-party meter provider contracts.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the meter installation process and provide technical support and assist in metering field works.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new metering products, solutions, and business systems with a focus on technical and quality processes and in line with customer needs and consistent with Chapter 7 of the NER, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS/NZS 4801, and local jurisdictions.
  • Be an integral part of the Powermetric operations team, assisting with the development of the business strategy and the overall accomplishment of targets.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of metering management within the National Electricity Market.
  • Experience in a similar role and understanding of the metering business in Australia.
  • Ability to gain an understanding of metering systems and AEMO data requirements.
  • Knowledge of metering field works, metering testing, and metering standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timeframes with good attention to detail.
  • A professional demeanor and presentation.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Some knowledge of Electricity market rules and systems, including MSATS/CATS.
  • Understanding of jurisdiction metering requirements and relevant electrical and metering standards.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and AS/NZS 4801 policies and processes.
