About the Role
The Digital Product Finance team focuses on accelerating digital growth by partnering with business leaders to bring financial expertise and enable strategic decision-making. This role will support the strategic growth agenda and drive value creation by working at pace with the online business, which is key to Coles' future success.
This is a rapidly growing area, where you'll own your remit and objectives, collaborate closely with the broader finance team, and influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve best business outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
- Partner closely with senior business leaders in Digital Engineering, Data, and Platforms teams to understand their drives and goals, driving efficiency and good commercial outcomes.
- Ensure a strong control framework is in place for all Digital expense lines and accuracy and integrity of reporting.
- Work towards achieving forecast accuracy.
- Deliver complex analysis that draws out insights to drive value creation.
- Prepare, understand, and analyse financial information to identify business opportunities/challenges and recommend a course of action.
- Design and implement reporting processes for executive and leadership levels.
- Contribute to efficient capital allocation and investment decision-making.
About You and Your Skills
We're looking for a passionate Finance Business Partner who understands the value of harnessing strong commercial relationships. Ideally, you'll have experience in digital, but this is not essential.
You'll also have:
- CA/CPA or similar business qualification or near with commercial awareness and business focus.
- Experience in the Retail or FMCG sectors will be highly regarded, alternatively a big 4 or mid-tier environment.
- FP&A experience.
- Proven ability to challenge & influence key business stakeholders (finance and non-finance) to achieve best for business outcomes.
- Experience of presenting financial information concisely, focusing on drawing out insight.
- Experience of owning end-to-end planning process.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
- System literacy; experience of developing dashboards in PowerBI or similar desirable.
