About the Role

The Digital Product Finance team focuses on accelerating digital growth by partnering with business leaders to bring financial expertise and enable strategic decision-making. This role will support the strategic growth agenda and drive value creation by working at pace with the online business, which is key to Coles' future success.

This is a rapidly growing area, where you'll own your remit and objectives, collaborate closely with the broader finance team, and influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve best business outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Partner closely with senior business leaders in Digital Engineering, Data, and Platforms teams to understand their drives and goals, driving efficiency and good commercial outcomes.
  2. Ensure a strong control framework is in place for all Digital expense lines and accuracy and integrity of reporting.
  3. Work towards achieving forecast accuracy.
  4. Deliver complex analysis that draws out insights to drive value creation.
  5. Prepare, understand, and analyse financial information to identify business opportunities/challenges and recommend a course of action.
  6. Design and implement reporting processes for executive and leadership levels.
  7. Contribute to efficient capital allocation and investment decision-making.

About You and Your Skills

We're looking for a passionate Finance Business Partner who understands the value of harnessing strong commercial relationships. Ideally, you'll have experience in digital, but this is not essential.

You'll also have:

  1. CA/CPA or similar business qualification or near with commercial awareness and business focus.
  2. Experience in the Retail or FMCG sectors will be highly regarded, alternatively a big 4 or mid-tier environment.
  3. FP&A experience.
  4. Proven ability to challenge & influence key business stakeholders (finance and non-finance) to achieve best for business outcomes.
  5. Experience of presenting financial information concisely, focusing on drawing out insight.
  6. Experience of owning end-to-end planning process.
  7. Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
  8. System literacy; experience of developing dashboards in PowerBI or similar desirable.
