Home Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team in Kogarah. As a Home Care Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our customers, providing them with the support and care they need to live independently at home.

  • Domestic assistance involves cleaning the home of older people so they have a safe and beautiful place to live.
  • Customers require help with meal preparation and shopping.
  • Providing social support and access to lifestyle activities is an essential part of this role.
  • Personal care includes getting customers up, showered, and dressed for the day, as well as managing medication and assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Respite and emotional support are also crucial aspects of this position.
  • Social support and transport to appointments are additional responsibilities.
  • Complex care for customers with high needs, such as dementia, requires a high level of skill and compassion.

About the Job:

This is a permanent part-time position that guarantees hours close to home.

Accelerated learning programs allow you to gain professional qualifications (Cert 3).

Paid CPR and First Aid courses are available.

Paid km's, phone allowance, and discounts on car maintenance are also included.

Free uniform and shoe allowance are provided.

Requirements:

  • You must care about assisting our aged community to live independently at home for longer.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Driver's License and a registered vehicle are required - travel is part of the role.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are essential in this role.
  • You must be available to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Comfort with working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems is necessary.
