Support the Health and Wellbeing of Vulnerable Children

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team in supporting the health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 0–18 who are living in statutory care.

Many of these young people have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect and your care, compassion, and clinical expertise will help ensure they receive the support they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

You will work from Erina Community Health Centre as part of a small team that includes a Coordinator, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, and Administration Officer.

Together, you will deliver trauma-informed, patient-centred care through health assessments, care planning, and coordination.

  • A strong understanding of the Out of Home Care system is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge of the Keep Them Safe policy and the Health Assessment of Children and Young People in Out of Home Care Clinical Practice Guidelines would be highly regarded.
  • Experience working with children, young people, or families, particularly those impacted by trauma, abuse, or neglect is necessary for success in this position.
  • A genuine passion for improving health outcomes for vulnerable children and young people is crucial for delivering high-quality care.
Delivering Trauma-Informed Care

As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the health and wellbeing of children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.

Our team works collaboratively to deliver trauma-informed, patient-centred care, which involves working closely with children, young people, and their families to provide individualised support and guidance.

Through your clinical expertise and compassionate approach, you will help create a safe and supportive environment where children and young people can feel confident and secure.
