Compliance Consultant

The Cybersecurity Compliance Consultant provides regulatory, administrative and educational support for the implementation of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance issues. This role involves working with clients to implement one of our key security frameworks.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate compliance with applicable federal regulations and contractual requirements while customizing System Security Plans (SSPs) for clients.
  • Conform our SSP documentation to meet the requirements of the clients' desired security framework.
  • Act as Project Manager for each assigned SSP project.
  • Assist in developing new products/services for us.
  • Research news and publications on security frameworks and regulations used by us.
  • Prepare presentations or exhibits to explain framework controls and socialize security controls into the client's culture.
  • Participate in other compliance functions, such as user awareness training and tabletop incident simulations.
Qualifications:
  • Licensing: Registered Practitioner (RP) designation awarded by a recognized body.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or Business Administration.
  • Skills:
    • Cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-171 / CMMC Level 2 (DoD), Center for Internet Security CIS 18, Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS), HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2.
    • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, Bookings.
    • Microsoft Security Platform tools knowledge, including Azure Active Directory, Endpoint Manager/Intune/Autopilot, Business Defender.
    • Microsoft licensing experience.
Experience:
  • 5-10 years of management experience.
  • 3-5 years in cybersecurity compliance or configuration.
  • 3-5 years in technology support.
