Procurement Specialist Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of procurement processes in human and social services. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting market analysis and planning to inform commissioning decisions.
You will establish governance procedures for procurement negotiations, develop procurement documentation, and ensure compliance with legislation and departmental policies. This role requires experience in procurement and grant management processes, as well as strong communication and negotiation skills.
In this role, you will work closely with the Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team to establish and manage long-term recovery and resilience programs. You will provide meaningful help and financial support to communities affected by disaster events through practical information, referrals to support services, and the distribution of financial assistance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting robust market analysis and planning to inform commissioning decisions;
- Establishing and ensuring governance procedures for procurement negotiation requirements;
- Developing procurement and grant documentation, ensuring high-level governance practices and compliance with legislation and departmental policies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in end-to-end contract management, including the establishment of contract management plans. They will also have the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks.
