Senior Procurement Specialist

The role involves supporting the department's procurement network by managing complex procurement processes, overseeing data reconciliation and contract disclosure reporting, leading business improvement initiatives, and engaging with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Procurement Management: Manage tender lifecycles, provide expert advice to stakeholders, and exercise procurement authorizations.
- Data Governance: Oversee monthly data reconciliation, ensure the accuracy and integrity of procurement data, and implement quality assurance programs.
- Business Process Improvement: Lead the development and implementation of new business processes and technology solutions to enhance procurement and contract management frameworks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets whole-of-government requirements.
- Expertise in Procurement: Demonstrated ability to manage complex procurement processes from start to finish, with a sound understanding of government procurement and contract management frameworks.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to identify issues, investigate root causes, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and actively participate in the design of new solutions and ways of working.
