**Job Summary**

Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to lead our breakfast kitchen brigade. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supervising and setting a positive example for the team, with the support of the Head Chef.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring all food preparation and plating is executed efficiently and meets presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of breakfast station and kitchen areas in line with HACCP procedures, and assist in stock management and inventory control while managing costs.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing ones, upholding and enforcing strict health and hygiene standards.
  • Liaise with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on matters, promoting an engaged team and ensuring all working areas are clean and tidy, with all equipment maintained, serviced, and cleaned.

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, specializing in breakfast service in a hotel environment, advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques and recipes, with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team, with trade qualifications from a culinary school.
