Delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment is at the heart of our Graduate Enrolled Nurse Program.
About the RoleThis program provides enrolled nurses with the opportunity to consolidate their nursing knowledge and skills, gained during their Diploma of Nursing qualification, in a clinical setting.
The successful candidate will complete a 12-month contract in residential aged care, with the possibility of applying for ongoing employment within a preferred department, subject to vacancy.
The program includes:
- A comprehensive 3-day orientation, followed by regular study days and ongoing support from the education team.
- Collaboration with experienced healthcare professionals, including nurse unit managers and interprofessional colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in medication administration, encompassing four or five routes.
- Previous clinical experience in an acute setting.
- Basic understanding of patient management systems.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and shared objectives.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills and knowledge of patient information technology systems.
