Job Overview:

A key role exists for a senior structural engineer to support local and national Ports and Marine projects.

  • Essential qualifications include tertiary degrees in structural or marine engineering.
  • Extensive experience is required within a consulting environment across projects involving jetties, wharves, cranes, fender systems, mooring analysis and other Ports projects.
  • A baseline working knowledge of coastal infrastructure including erosion, breakwaters and ramps is necessary.
  • The ability to review and approve technical structural designs, showcasing an exceptional understanding of structural marine design codes and standards.
  • Proven ability to establish relationships with external stakeholders and foster team collaboration through a collaborative management approach.
  • Ideal candidates possess chartered status and registration as a professional engineer in Victoria.
  • A track record of technical leadership and mentoring is desired.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
