Senior Structural Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team, focusing on Ports & Marine projects across various sectors.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in consulting environments, with expertise in jetties, wharves, cranes, fender systems, mooring analysis, and other ports-related projects.

They should possess a baseline working knowledge of coastal infrastructure, including erosion, breakwaters, and ramps, as well as the ability to review and approve technical structural designs.

Strong relationships with external stakeholders and internal teams are essential, with Chartered Status and Registered Professional Engineer status highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate technical leadership, mentoring, excellent communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, while fostering a positive and proactive attitude within the team.

This role offers the opportunity to further grow and develop our Ports & Marine business across regions, providing a unique chance to work alongside talented individuals and contribute to the company's vibrant culture.

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Structural or Marine Engineering
  • Extensive experience within a consulting environment across projects involving:
  • Jetties, wharves, cranes, fender systems, mooring analysis and other Ports projects
  • Baseline working knowledge of coastal infrastructure including erosion, breakwaters and ramps
  • Ability to review and approve technical structural designs, showcasing an exceptional understanding of structural marine design codes and standards
  • Proven ability to establish relationships with external stakeholders and also our national team, fostering our unique ability to share knowledge and work beyond regional boundaries
  • Ideally Chartered Status and Registered as a Professional Engineer in Victoria
  • Track record of technical leadership and mentoring
  • Excellent Communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to get involved and support others, contributing to our vibrant team
  • Up for the challenge of further growing and developing our Ports & Marine business across the regions
