Broadacre Agronomist Role

As a Broadacre Agronomist, you will be a key member of the team and a trusted advisor to cropping clients across the Darling Downs and Western Downs region.

You will provide practical agronomic advice and support that helps growers make confident decisions across chemical, fertiliser, seed and soil health.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with broadacre cropping clients.
  • Provide tailored agronomic advice across chemical, fertiliser, seed and soil health.
  • Conduct in-field assessments and deliver crop monitoring and planning services.
  • Develop seasonal programs and input plans to support on-farm success.
  • Identify opportunities to grow your client base and cross-sell products and services.
  • Stay informed on local agronomic trends, R&D, and emerging technologies.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in agricultural science or a related field.
  • Practical experience in broadacre/horticulture/viticulture agronomy, product sales, or crop consulting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cropping systems and sustainable input planning.
  • Sound use of digital farm management systems for planning and recording recommendations.
  • Current driver's license and ability to work independently in the field.
  • Passion for Australian agriculture and proactive approach to building client relationships.
