BIM Coordinator Job Description

At our firm, we are seeking a highly skilled BIM Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of building information modeling (BIM) across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive BIM execution plan to optimize project efficiency.
  • Manage and coordinate model development for assigned projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects, adhering to aggressive schedules.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of Revit models to identify and resolve potential conflicts, clearances, and relationships between components.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on best practices for maintaining efficient 3D models.
  • Perform quality control reviews utilizing BIM-based tools to ensure adherence to design standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and implement cutting-edge Revit add-ins to enhance team productivity.
  • Maintain open communication with regional Design Technology Managers to ensure seamless project coordination.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Building Information Modelling or related field; Bachelor's degree in Architecture or technical certification in Building Information Modelling preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Building Information Modelling, focusing on architecture and large projects, is beneficial.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in building information modelling of architectural systems in Revit is advantageous.
  • LEED credential required within 12 months of employment.
  • Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing structural models, plans, and details.
  • Proficiency in Revit is essential, while proficiency in Rhino is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines is desirable.
  • Ability to learn and perform standard computer modeling functions using Revit and identify design conflicts.
