Manufacturing and Production Technician Role Overview

",">Job Description:
  • Perform manufacturing, assembly, service, and/or testing tasks for wire ropes, wire rope slings, chain slings, and other lifting, rigging or safety products/assemblies.
  • Work with Australian Standards and company policies and procedures to ensure high-quality products.
Responsibilities
  • Operate hydraulic press, chain cutter, and other testing equipment.
  • Assemble and inspect lifting gear.
  • Manufacture and test chain and wire rope slings.
  • Pick pack products for customer orders.
  • Adhere to the company's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies and procedures.

Key Skills Required:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, stores, or warehousing environments.
  • Knowledge of the lifting, rigging, or safety industry preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and perform standard calculations.
  • Forklift license with recent experience required.
  • A commitment to safety and quality.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a small team.
  • Computer skills for data entry – training will be provided.
  • Motivation to learn and progress into other roles within the business.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Dedication, reliability, commitment, and a strong work ethic.
