Financial Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Support Specialist to fill a critical role in our organization.

About the Role
  • As a key member of the accounting team, you will provide financial support by handling various tasks such as accounting and administrative duties.
  • You will work closely with the Accounting Services Coordinator to ensure effective financial and management accounting functions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing efficient and courteous service to internal and external customers of the organization.
  • Supporting the Accounting Services Coordinator in ensuring effective financial and management accounting functions.
  • Demonstrating strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to effectively support the team and foster constructive, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Being team-oriented and demonstrating a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Certificate III or higher in accounting, financial management, commerce or demonstrated equivalent qualifications including relevant experience.
  • Experience in various roles with a Financial Services environment incorporating management and financial accounting.
  • Previous experience performing intermediate accounting functions.
  • Financial systems and relevant corporate systems experience.
  • Experience in undertaking financial reconciliations.
  • Experience in research and compilation of information.
  • Data entry skills and experience.
  • Record management skills.
  • Administrative experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Willingness to commit to further training and development as required.
  • The right to live and work in Australia.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC).
