Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Production Assistant to join our team on a casual basis in a warehouse environment. The successful candidate will assist in collecting, sorting, and storing recyclable drink containers. On-the-job training in using specialized equipment will be provided. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and colleagues
- Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers
- Use a forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers
- Operate a point-of-sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions
- Assist in other activities, including housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, and reporting faulty equipment needing repair
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Experience in using forklifts and a current valid Forklift Licence
- Experience working within a warehouse and/or production environment
- Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently
- Thorough understanding of work, health, and safety requirements within a warehouse environment
