The successful candidate will be responsible for providing security guidance and support to the organization, identifying and mitigating risks, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Critical Success Criteria
  • The Senior Microsoft Cloud Security Analyst will focus on reducing critical and high-risk vulnerabilities across Microsoft cloud environments.
  • The goal is to improve Microsoft Secure Score and compliance score metrics.
  • This includes timely and effective remediation of audit and incident response findings.
  • The team also aims to deliver training and awareness programs with improved end-user security behavior.
  • Maintenance of robust documentation and adherence to change management protocols is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Program Management
  • The ideal candidate will identify and clearly communicate risks, proposing remediations to technology leaders.
  • Planning and implementing findings or recommendations from annual security audits, incident response preparation, and external checks are key responsibilities.
  • The security design authority/architect will design effective security solutions and review solutions proposed by other technology staff against a set of security requirements.
Endpoint Security, Identity, and Security Operations
  • The daily threats and enhancing the security landscape will be managed by the successful candidate.
  • Administration of the SIEM system, encompassing the integration of new data sources, monitoring risks, and planning or automating suitable interventions, is crucial.
  • Ongoing identity checks on O365 accounts, Groups, SharePoint site access, and AD will be performed.
  • Maintaining a secure EUC, including Image management, SSL security cert management, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview, is vital.
End User Security Training
  • A program of e-learning end-user security training will be managed by the team leader.
  • The effectiveness of training will be measured through phishing simulations and user compliance reports.
  • Training records will be maintained, and reporting to compliance and audit teams will be provided.
Data Management
  • The Data Governance team will collaborate with the candidate to classify and protect sensitive data.
  • Data loss prevention (DLP) policies will be implemented and managed across Microsoft 365 and cloud environments.
  • Secure data lifecycle management practices will be ensured.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  • MS-500 or equivalent qualifications are required.
  • Deep understanding of the portfolio of Microsoft applications, especially those in E5 Security, is necessary.
  • Microsoft Defender ATP security monitoring and management – security operations skills are essential.
  • Identity and Access Security Management knowledge is required.
  • Proven experience working as a Security Analyst or Manager is essential.
  • Microsoft Sentinel and Purview expertise is beneficial.
  • Proven experience in recognizing alignment between technology and business process is necessary.

This senior leadership position requires strong background in Microsoft cloud security. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and general communication skills, a collaboration-oriented mindset, and the ability to own a capability area from planning to delivery and operations.
