Job Title: EL2 Director, Business Unit

The EL2 Director, Business Unit, plays a pivotal role in leading a dynamic team responsible for managing corporate and compliance frameworks and systems for ClearCompany. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this director is accountable for leading the management and delivery of policies and procedures, ensuring the company complies with Commonwealth legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic corporate support, advice, and feedback to the COO, Executive, and Leadership team.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and legislative requirements of ClearCompany.
  • Manage the provision of financial information to the Board, Audit and Risk Committee, and the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO).
  • Supervise the provision of financial information to the Department of Finance for regular financial reporting and the annual portfolio budget statements and annual report.
  • Oversee the submission of information, data, and reporting to relevant entities for ClearCompany's compliance with Commonwealth operational legislative and statutory requirements.
  • Supervise financial reporting to relevant external agencies, including Fringe Benefit Tax, compliance, and audit reporting, and banking of funds allocated to ClearCompany.
  • Support the organisation's business planning processes and lead the budget processes, forecasting, monthly, and annual financial reporting for ClearCompany, management, and program teams.
  • Collaborate with other teams across ClearCompany to facilitate delivery of program objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Manage ClearCompany office accommodation-related leases.
  • Supervise and manage the performance of staff in the Business Unit.
  • Represent ClearCompany in senior forums, meetings, and consultations as required.
