Medical Support Professional Opportunity

Job Description

The Medical Receptionist and Bookings Clerk will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to our team. Key responsibilities include managing the appointment scheduler, booking, rescheduling, sending reminders, coordinating meetings, and reviewing consultation lists.

  • Manage and maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Liaise with WorkCover Clerk to ensure approvals are received
  • Prepare daily banking and reconciliations
  • Prepare clinic files and paperwork as per roster
  • Process referrals and incoming correspondence
  • Answer phones, file, and scan documents
  • Follow business procedures and support Administration/Quality Manager as required
Additional Duties for Bookings Clerk Role
  • Manage and coordinate procedure scheduler and patient admission forms
  • Liaise with day surgery staff, anesthetists, and specialists
  • Provide patients with pre- and post-operative information packs
  • Prepare quotes, procedure files, and handover lists
  • Ensure confidentiality, security, and accuracy of all records
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in medical or specialist administration role
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Willingness to travel once a week to either Maitland or Tuggerah clinics
  • Familiarity with Genie or Gentu software (advantageous but not essential)
