Job Title: Smoking Cessation Clinical Nurse Consultant

Western Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinician to join our team as a Smoking Cessation Clinical Nurse Consultant. This pivotal role will support and optimally manage the needs of lung cancer patients to stop smoking through comprehensive care, including counselling and provision of supportive medication in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert and evidence-based direction to ensure service standards and practices related to smoking cessation are maintained and improved across all services of Western Health.
  • Working within the area of specialisation team in the supervision, implementation and management of the specialist services and related strategic planning.
  • Providing comprehensive care to lung cancer patients, including counselling and provision of supportive medication.
  • Managing referrals, administration and coordination of the Supported STOP (Smoking Telehealth Outpatient) Program.
