Job Summary

The Housing/Shelter Support Worker will be responsible for providing assistance to clients, including counseling sessions, life skills building, and facilitating program participation. They will work closely with the Team Lead/Site Supervisor and support team to ensure effective service delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Participate in identifying clients' problems, needs, and risks, and develop corresponding action plans.
  2. Conduct individual counseling sessions and provide life skills building in problem areas.
  3. Collaborate with the support team to deliver services and support residents/shelter users.
  4. Maintain accurate records and statistics, and provide reports as required.
  5. Engage residents through various activities and collaborate with the support team to utilize each other's strengths.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
